If you look closely at some of the negative space, you can see the black peeking through. Here I also used a pallet knife for most of the work. Killing Yourself is a painting that suggest, you might as well set yourself on fire and kill yourself quickly instead of somking cigarettes and taking the slow approach. Here I painted both canvas completely black and layered colors side by side on top of the black. Finally I separated the colors with a very thin line of white paint. |  | "Flowers Around US" - This is a non-representational still life in the sense that I didn't use anything as a source to look at as I completed this painting. It is just some red flowers and green leaves all resting in a vase. This piece here was done on canvas 20" x 16" in size and was done in acrylics. |  | "Cosmic Clash" - Acrylic & Oil diptych on two 20" x 16" canvases that total out to be 40" x 16" in size. This is the newest addition of my noted Cosmic Diptych Series. |  | "Flowers in a Box" - This painting is titled Flowers in a Box because the actual flowers in the painting appear to be surrounded by a black box. If you look close you will notice it isn't a box, but actually their very own canvas. The pot is also on its very own canvas and these are attached to the background canvas. This painting is a new style that I have been using lately which features the layerd canvas effect. The overall size of this canvas is 20" x 16" with a 1 1/4" thickness where the layered canvas effect is in use. Also this painting was done in acrylics and completed on May 2, 2006. SOLD |
|  | "Lone Flower" - This painting is the first of my layered canvas series, which all feature abstract flowers. In the background of this painting I created a 4 seasons theme as you can see in each corner. The background is a 24"x30" stretched canvas and has a 10"x20" stretched canvas resting upon top of it. The smaller canvas features and abstract non-repsentational flower.
|  | "Cooperation Will Work Better" - Crow Series - This painting was inspired by my favorite band, "Counting Crows." I wanted to paint a painting in which the sun was setting along the horizion and you could see the silhouette of a crow. Now within the crow you will see a white section featuring some words. This section is actually a fortune cookie note that I have kept for a long time waiting to use for some purpose. This was the purpose I guess? The fortune cookie note says, "Cooperation Will Work Better" and so this is the title of this painting. The painting was done in Acrylics on a 12" x12" gallery stretched canvas.. |  | "Dialogue & Drinks" - was created while listening to the movie Vanilla Sky. A fresh new couple get to know one another in a smoke filled dark bar.This painting was done in acrylics and is 12"x12" in size, housed on a gallery stratched canvas. |
